Settings and Discover Portals in the Admin Portal

Organization identity, the invoice terms summary, email sign-in, and how to connect another Nuix Discover portal or replace its auth token yourself.
Settings and Discover Portals in the Admin Portal
The Settings screen holds what identifies your organization, the Nuix Discover installations Claira accepts sessions from, the Discover API token your cases can use for background processing, email sign-in, and whether the Agent in Agent Mode may run work without asking first.
Organization
- Organization name: appears on invoices and in every email Claira sends about your cases. Changing it does not rename anything in Discover.
- Claira organization ID: the reference Claira issues you, set in your Discover UIX configuration as
ORG_ID=. It is part of how your cases are recognised, together with your Discover portal. Support will ask for it. - Permission enforcement: whether roles are enforced inside Discover or recorded only; change it under Roles.
- Region and currency: the deployment your cases run in. Not a preference.
- Copy for support puts all of the above on your clipboard for a support request.
Discover portals
An organization can run Claira against more than one Discover installation (a second region, a separate office instance, a staging portal) and connect each itself. Every portal listed here shares your organization ID, so its cases land on this organization's invoice.
Each portal shows whether it is Connected or Needs a token, how many cases were activated under it, and when its token was set and by whom.
Connecting another portal
- Enter a name (how the portal appears across the Admin Portal) and the portal URL: scheme and host only, such as
https://discover.example.com. - Optionally add a description.
- Paste the auth token from the Claira extension's configuration page in Discover, and choose Connect portal.
A portal without a token is listed as Needs a token and refuses sessions until one is pasted.
A portal address that is already registered in Claira (by your organization or by anyone else) cannot be connected again: That portal is already registered. appears and nothing is saved. If you believe the address is yours, contact Claira support.
Replacing a token
If the token is rotated in Discover, choose Replace token on the portal, paste the new one and save. Sessions from that portal verify against the new token straight away, and the previous token stops being accepted everywhere within about a minute.
Removing a portal is done with support, because the cases activated under it depend on it.
Discover API token
The Discover API token card holds one API token per Discover portal that every case of your organization can connect with one click for background processing, and the Personal API tokens option that decides whether people may reuse their own tokens across cases. It is a different token from a portal's auth token above. See The organization's Discover API token.
Email sign-in
Email sign-in lets organization admins open the portal with a one-time link sent to their email, without opening Claira in Discover first. Each admin turns it on for themselves and confirms the address with a code, so a link can only ever go to an address its owner proved they read.
Turning it on for yourself
- Enter the address you want sign-in links sent to. The address Discover holds for you is filled in when Claira knows it; you can change it.
- Choose Send code. Claira emails a six-digit code to that address.
- Type the code and choose Confirm. The code works for 15 minutes; five wrong codes cancel it, and Send a new code starts again.
Once it is on, ask for a sign-in link on the portal's front page, as described in Opening the portal.
- Change address sends a code to the new address. Links keep going to the old address until the new one is confirmed; from then on, links already sent to the old address stop working.
- Turn off removes your email sign-in. Links already sent stop working. You can turn it off even while email sign-in is unavailable.
- Losing the organization admin role removes your email sign-in too.
For the whole organization
For this organization is on by default, and each admin still decides for themselves. An admin can turn it off: everyone's email sign-in is removed, links already sent stop working, and sessions other admins opened with an email link end. Admins can still open the portal from Claira in Discover. If you turn it back on, each admin turns it on for themselves again.
Admins using it lists who has email sign-in turned on, by name and username. Each admin's address is visible to that admin alone.
Every step (a code sent, a wrong code, email sign-in turned on or off, a link emailed) appears on the Activity screen.
Agent
Give permissions decides whether the Agent in Agent Mode may start bulk scans and Insights, and save Case Context edits, without waiting for someone to approve them. Choose one of three options:
| Option | What people in your organization get |
|---|---|
| Not allowed | Every chat asks before running anything. |
| Allowed, new chats ask first | People can switch a chat to Give permissions. New chats start by asking. This is the default for every organization. |
| Allowed, new chats give permissions | New chats start in Give permissions, and people can switch any chat back to asking. |
- Once someone has made a choice in a case, their new chats there start from their own last choice rather than from this setting.
- A change takes effect on the next message in every chat. Choosing Not allowed makes every chat ask, including chats already set to Give permissions. A card that is counting down at that moment does not start, and waits for a click instead.
- Creating a field, and giving a field the Prompt Log or Log Field role, always wait for a click on the card, whatever you choose here.
- Organization admins whose role lets them manage the organization's settings can change it. Everyone else sees the current choice, read-only.
- Every change is recorded on the Activity screen, under Roles and access, as Agent setting changed.
For what people see in a chat, see Ask before running or give permissions.
Invoice terms
A read-only summary of monthly invoicing, the partner discount, the invoice window and the overage rate. Claira sets the discount; contact Claira to change it. Change the window under Billing.

The Organization's Discover API Token in the Admin Portal
