Every report and file you can download from Claira, where to find it, and which formats it comes in.

Exports

Claira lets you take your work out of the case as reports you can share with your team or with clients. Each one is generated in your browser, on demand, from what is already in the case: there is no separate setup.

What you can download

Insight

The Insight you are reading, as a report: its title, which revision it is, the Insight itself with its citations, a Source documents section listing every document the Insight read, and a closing Prompt section holding the prompt it was generated from and every revision asked for since. Choose PDF (.pdf), Word (.docx) or Excel (.xlsx) from Download Insight. The Excel workbook puts each of the Insight's tables on a sheet of its own, beside a summary, the whole report and the source documents. Everything each file contains, and how the citations link to the source list, is described in Downloading the Insight.

Case Context

A branded export of a context's sections (parties, background, follow-ups) that closes with a clearly labelled Source documents section: a one-line note explaining that these are the documents Claira read to draft the context, then each document's title with its document ID beneath. Open the context and choose PDF (.pdf) or Word (.docx) from Download Case Context. The download waits while Claira is generating the context from documents, so the file never captures half-written sections.

The title carries the context's status: a green APPROVED badge once the context is approved, and an amber DRAFT badge until then. A draft also lists its Missing information questions. The header names who exported the file and, for an approved context, who approved it and when, each by name and username (for example, Jane Doe (jdoe)). When Claira cannot look a name up in Discover, the username appears on its own.

Prompts and prompt history

A single prompt downloads as a PDF from its details in Prompt History: This version only, or its Full version history. To take every prompt in the case, with each revision and its comments, use Export history and choose Excel or CSV. Both are described in Prompt History.

Bulk Task History Report

A complete record of every bulk task run on the case, newest first, with one self-contained card per task showing:

  • Task number, name, and media type (text, image, audio, or video).
  • Status, success rate, and the count of succeeded / failed / skipped documents.
  • The full prompt text that was sent to the model.
  • The customer-facing model name (e.g. "Claira Default (CA)") and run configuration.
  • Tokens used.

Download from the Bulk Tasks tab: click the download icon next to "Refresh".

The filename follows the pattern Claira-Bulk-Task-History-Report-<case>-<YYYYMMDD>.pdf, dated the day you download it.

Billing Report

A clean monthly or all-time summary of how the case's plan tokens were used. The PDF shows token-factor counts only, with no dollar amounts (refer to your invoice for monetary totals). It includes:

  • The plan you were on, with a short description.
  • Tokens consumed, plan tokens, and any overage.
  • A horizontal bar chart breaking down tokens by category (Bulk single and Bulk multi-code) with a colour legend.
  • For all-time, a per-cycle table showing cycle · plan · plan tokens · consumed · overage. The Plan column reflects the highest tier the case held during that cycle, so a mid-month upgrade is captured.

Download from the Usage tab: click "Download {month}" for the cycle you're viewing, or "Download all-time" for the whole case history.

The filename follows the pattern Claira-Billing-Report-<case>-<YYYY-MM>-<YYYYMMDD>.pdf, where <YYYY-MM> is the cycle the report covers, or Claira-Billing-Report-<case>-All-time-<YYYYMMDD>.pdf for all-time. The last date is the day you download it.

PDF or Word

Insights and Case Context download in either format, with the same content (an Insight also downloads as an Excel workbook, for sorting and filtering): the same header and status badge, the same sections in the same order, the same source documents and the same closing note.

  • PDF is a fixed layout: the file to print, to file, or to send as it is.
  • Word is editable: the file to drop into your own memo, brief or chronology. Headings are real Word headings, so they appear in Word's navigation pane, and lists are real numbered and bulleted lists you can extend.

Two differences come from the formats themselves:

  • Every character is kept in Word. The PDF's built-in font cannot show some characters (Chinese or Cyrillic text, or mathematical symbols such as ≥), so the PDF prints each one as ¤ and says how many it replaced. When that happens, Claira's message after the download suggests the Word version, which keeps them all.
  • Word lays out its own pages. Page numbers and the footer update as you edit, so a Word Insight links each source document back to the place it is first cited instead of listing page numbers.

On every page

These reports get printed, split up and passed around, so each page has to stand on its own. Every page of every Claira report, PDF or Word, ends with a thin rule and, beneath it, a line naming Claira, the report, the case, and the date you exported it, each part separated by a middle dot, with Page 2 of 9 opposite on the right. From the second page onward, a small running header repeats the report's title at the top of the page. Hand someone a single sheet and it still says what it is, which case it belongs to, and when it was produced.

Long titles wrap rather than run off the page. In a PDF a report title takes up to three lines, and in the Bulk Task History Report a long task name takes two lines instead of being cut short.

Download records

Downloads of case content are recorded for your organization's compliance records: who downloaded what, from which case, in which format, and when. That covers Insights (PDF, Word or Excel), Case Context, the Bulk Task History Report, prompts and prompt history. The record is written before the file is saved, so if it cannot be written the download is cancelled and Claira asks you to try again. The record never holds the content of the file, only the fact of the download. The Billing Report holds token counts rather than case content, and is not recorded.

How to download

  1. Open the Claira interface in Nuix Discover.
  2. Go to what you want to download: an Insight, a Case Context, Prompt History, the Bulk Tasks tab or the Usage tab.
  3. Click the download button or icon and, where Claira offers a choice, pick the format. The file is generated in the browser and saves to your default download location.

For client billing, run Download all-time in the Usage tab. The monthly breakdown table makes it easy to attribute spend to the right invoicing period.
