Billing Analytics
Reservoir model
Claira uses a token reservoir per case:
- Reservoir = total tokens accrued minus total tokens used over the case lifecycle.
- Usage billing surfaces current balance and replenish timing, not total scan history.
Bulk scan billing behavior
- Every bulk task records and displays tokens used.
- Before a bulk task starts, Claira checks whether the selected document count exceeds your plan limit.
- If the task exceeds your plan limit, Claira shows an in-context upgrade prompt with the minimum required tier.
- If tokens are insufficient, Claira shows an upgrade prompt that explains the upgrade refill behavior.
- Upgrading immediately refills the reservoir to the upgraded tier cap so the blocked task can be retried right away.
Plan changes in Settings
- Settings now includes in-app Upgrade and Schedule downgrade actions.
- Upgrades apply immediately.
- Downgrades are scheduled for period end, and reservoir balance is clamped to the new plan maximum when the downgrade takes effect.
Deactivation behavior
- Deactivating a case clears the reservoir balance.
- Reactivation refills the reservoir to the selected plan cap.
Billing Report PDF
The downloadable Billing Report (from the Usage tab) shows token-factor counts only — no dollar amounts. Use it to see which categories consumed tokens (chat, bulk scans, image scans, etc.), the plan you were on, and any overage. For monetary totals, refer to your invoice.
Two scopes are available: the current month, or an all-time report with a per-cycle breakdown that captures the highest tier the case held during each cycle.
See Exports for download instructions.
