Usage Analytics
The Usage mode in the Claira panel shows billing-cycle token usage for the active case.
Token reservoir (hero)
- Token balance: current reservoir balance for the case.
- Cap: maximum balance for the active plan tier (shown next to the large balance).
- Progress: visual fill level against the cap.
- Next replenish note: Claira shows how many tokens your plan's daily refill adds and the next scheduled refill time.
Billing-cycle month selector
- The center label shows the selected billing month.
- Use the left and right arrows to move backward or forward when another month is available.
- The range goes from the case activation month to the latest available billing-cycle month.
Monthly summary cards
Four cards summarize the selected month:
- Plan usage tokens — the plan allocation for that cycle.
- Overage tokens — tokens logged when a task runs after the reservoir is exhausted.
- Plan tier — the tier active for that cycle.
- Single scans this month — how many single scans ran in the cycle. Single scans are free on every plan and do not appear on the credit charts.
Tokens by bulk type and media (stacked bar)
The main chart breaks down token consumption by bulk type and media:
- Bulk one-field — bulk tasks running a single criterion per document.
- Bulk multi-code — bulk tasks running several coding criteria per document.
Each bar is stacked by media type: Text, Image, Audio, Video. Hovering shows the exact token total per segment.
Single scans and Agent Mode messages are free on every plan, so they never appear on this chart.
For months whose snapshot predates the May 2026 dashboard redesign, the stacked bar is replaced by a short note. The monthly summary cards still render with the right totals.
Tokens consumed per user
When more than one user has consumed tokens in the selected month, an additional horizontal bar chart shows token consumption per user, sorted from largest to smallest. The chart is hidden when fewer than two users have consumed tokens.
Planned vs overage tokens
When overage tokens exist for the selected month, a small pie chart at the bottom breaks down the total into the Planned slice (consumed against your plan allocation) and the Overage slice. When there are no overages, the pie chart is hidden.
Replenish schedule
- All active plans replenish once per day.
- Operational schedule targets 9:00 AM US Eastern Time.
- If you reopen a case later, Claira highlights tokens added since your previous visit.
Billing Report PDF
You can download a Billing Report PDF from Usage mode in two scopes:
- Download {month} — the cycle you're viewing. One-page summary.
- Download all-time — every cycle since the case was activated.
Both PDFs include:
- Plan section — the plan name, a short description, and the monthly token allowance.
- Usage — tokens consumed, plan tokens, and any overage, all as token-factor counts (no dollar amounts; refer to your invoice for monetary totals).
- Tokens by category — a horizontal stacked bar showing where the tokens were spent (Bulk one-field, Bulk multi-code) with a colour-coded legend. Single scans and Agent Mode messages are free and never appear in the breakdown.
The all-time PDF additionally has a monthly breakdown table with one row per cycle: cycle · plan · plan tokens · consumed · overage. The Plan column shows the highest tier the case held during that cycle, so a mid-month upgrade is reflected.
Billing ledger
At the very bottom of Usage mode, the billing ledger is a running, newest-first record of everything that affects this case's bill. Hover the info icon next to the heading for a quick summary of what it includes.
Each row is one event, with its date, a colour-coded type, and an amount. Because some events are measured in tokens and others in dollars, there are two amount columns:
- Tokens — token movements: bulk scans (debits), token purchases, refunds, overage, Insight revisions, and — when shown — daily replenishment. Credits appear with a +, debits with a −.
- Amount — dollar movements: your monthly subscription payments and the amount paid for a token purchase. When a Stripe invoice is available, the amount links to it.
The ledger covers:
- Plan upgrades and downgrades — the date each change took effect, and the tier you moved from and to.
- Monthly payments — each recurring subscription charge, on its billing date.
- Bulk scans — tokens spent creating each bulk task.
- Token purchases — one-time top-ups (tokens added and the amount paid).
- Overages — tokens used after your reservoir was exhausted.
- Refunds — tokens returned, for example when a bulk task fails or is cancelled.
- Insight revisions — tokens spent revising an Insight.
Filtering and paging
- Filter by type — narrow the ledger to a single event type, or choose All events.
- Show daily replenishment — daily token refills are hidden by default to keep the ledger readable (active plans replenish every day). Tick this box to include them.
- The ledger shows 20 events per page, newest first. Use Previous and Next to move between pages.
Single-document scans are free and never appear in the billing ledger.
