Sharing, pins, and branching

Share agent chats with your case team, pin the important ones, filter by teammate, and branch a shared chat into your own copy.

Sharing, pins, and branching

Agent Mode chats are visible to your whole case team by default, so everyone can see the agent work already done in the case. This page covers how sharing works, how to keep a chat private, what teammates can do with a shared chat, and how pinning and filtering keep a busy list manageable.

Shared with your case team by default

  • Every chat is either Shared with case team or Private to me. New chats start shared.
  • When you flip the toggle on a chat, Claira remembers your choice: your next new chat in this case starts with whatever you last picked.
  • All chats created before this feature arrived were made shared — consistent with bulk scan history and prompt history, which your team could already see. You can switch any of your chats back to private at any time.

Change who can see a chat

  1. Open the chat in Agent Mode.
  2. In the top bar, click the sharing icon — a green team icon when shared, a grey lock when private.
  3. Pick Shared with case team or Private to me.

Only the chat's owner can change its sharing, rename it, or delete it. Hover the icon any time to read the current state.

What teammates see

  • Shared chats appear in everyone's sidebar with the owner's name under the title.
  • Opening a teammate's chat shows the full conversation read-only: a notice above the composer names the owner, and you cannot send messages into their chat.
  • Anything interactive inside their conversation (for example a bulk scan proposal form) is shown for reference only — you cannot approve, cancel, or edit it.
  • If the owner switches a chat back to private, it disappears from teammates' lists.

Branch a shared chat to continue it yourself

Want to take a teammate's conversation further without touching their chat? Branch it:

  1. Open the shared chat.
  2. Click Branch in the top bar (or the button in the read-only notice at the bottom).
  3. Claira creates your own copy of the conversation so far — named "Branch of …" — and opens it. Continue chatting from there.

The copy belongs to you and follows your usual default sharing. The original chat is untouched, and your branched chat shows a small branch icon in the sidebar with a reference to the chat it came from. You can also branch your own chats to explore a different direction without losing the original thread.

Pin the chats that matter

Pins work exactly like pinned prompts in the Prompt Lab history: pinned chats float to the top of the sidebar in a Pinned section.

  • Pin for me (blue): only you see this pin.
  • Pin for everyone in this case (amber): the chat is pinned for the whole team. Up to 5 chats can be team-pinned per case.
  • Pin from the pin icon in the chat's top bar. Team pins sort above personal pins, newest first.
  • Anyone on the case can remove a team pin — Claira asks you to confirm first, because unpinning affects everyone.

Filter the list by teammate

With team chats in the mix, the sidebar gains a filter by user button next to the search box:

  • Everyone (default) shows all chats you can see.
  • Me shows only your own chats.
  • Or tick specific teammates to see just their shared chats.

The search box also matches owner names, so typing a teammate's name finds their chats quickly.

Privacy notes

  • Sharing is always scoped to the active case — a shared chat is never visible outside the case team.
  • Teammates can read and branch a shared chat, but never write into it, rename it, share/unshare it, or delete it.
  • Deleting a chat remains owner-only and removes it for everyone.
