Images

Use Image scan when extracted text is missing, incomplete, or not reliable enough for your prompt. This mode is designed for documents that were uploaded as image-based files in Nuix Discover.

When to use Image scan

  • Scanned PDFs with little or no extracted text
  • Photo-based records or screenshots
  • Documents where layout and visual structure matter

Supported file types

Image scan accepts:

  • PDF (.pdf)
  • PNG (.png)
  • JPEG/JPG (.jpeg, .jpg)
  • WebP (.webp)
  • HEIC (.heic)
  • HEIF (.heif)

How to run Image scan

  1. Open Single Review or Bulk Scan.
  2. Enable the Image scan checkbox next to the scan action.
